Interleave Threading from Two Drafts
Last updated
Interleave allows the threading from two drafts to be merged into one of the drafts. Start by creating two drafts. The two drafts must both be open in TempoWeave before performing the interleave.
Be sure to have your cursor in the "To File" draft that you want to interleave into, then click the Interleave Icon.
The following panel will be shown. The first drop down allows you to choose the draft you want to interleave from. If you only have two drafts open in TempoWeave, it will show the draft that is not the focus for the interleave to, otherwise use the selection drop down to select the from draft.
The starting thread will default to the cursor position. This can be changed by clicking to another position in the threading or typing in the number of the starting warp thread.
If the threads in the From File are to be shifted up when being interleaved into the To File, change the value from 0 to the number of shafts to shift up. Optionally check to include the color and thickness from the From File .
See the following example below. Two files are open and have been tiled horizontally (using the Window option). It's not necessary to tile the files.
Next, the include color box and apply was click:
Now the draft is interleaved:
Future additions to Interleave will include the ability to select the threads in a different ratio (for example, 1:2 meaning interleave 1 thread in the From File for every 2 in the To File; 2:3 to interleave 2 threads in the From File for every 3 threads in the To File.
Also Future additions will include the ability to repeat the interleave when the To File has not completely been interleaved due to insufficient warp threads in the From File.
