Organizing Groups and Sections

Defining the "Family Tree" for the Assembly Instructions

The Assembly instructions resemble a family tree. The Assembly Instructions are in the Section Assembly panel underneath the Available Sections. There is a root node at the top, and different branches may follow.

There is a separate tree for both warp and weft, and also in warp and weft color assembly if not inheriting color from the drawdown.

A group must be added to begin defining the section assembly instructions.

Adding a Group

Group Icon (3rd from Left)

The Group icon is shown highlighted above (third from left, looks like a document with a dark blue heading). Note that pop-up descriptions of the icons are shown when hovering.

Click the Group Icon to add a group.

If no groups have been previously defined, a "root" group will be added as shown below:

There will only be one Group at the root level. If another group is added, it will be a child of the root as shown below:

Adding a Section to the Assembly Tree

A section may be added to the Assembly Tree by selecting either the destination group header or a section within an existing group.

Sections can also be repositioned by dragging them directly into the desired location in the Assembly Tree.

Alternatively, a section can be added to the Assembly Tree using the following steps:

  1. In Available Sections, click to select a section. An arrow will appear to the left of the selected section.

  2. In the Assembly Tree below, click to select the location where the section should be added. This may be a group header or another section.

  3. Click the Add Section button (second from the left).
