# Design Video - Entering a Complex Profile Draft from "The Strickler Book"

The weaving draft #532, found in Carol Strickler’s *A Weaver’s Book of 8-Shaft Patterns*, is written as a profile draft with a number of blocks, including a "no block" that is confusing to weavers who want to convert this draft into a thread-by-thread draft ready to weave.  

The following video shows entering the profile draft for #532 and converting it to a thread-by-thread draft.

Next, the number of treadles that resulted from this operation are more than usually on an 8-shaft floor loom.  This video shows reducing the number of treadles with Treadle Reduction.
