# Bethehem Star Pattern

A traditional overshot pattern, as found in the Davison Green Book, is the Bethlehem star and will be used for this tutorial to create a double-patterned overshot fabric.

We'll start with the WIF for regular single-layer overshot; we have left out the tabby picks. It is designed as "tromp-as-writ" for one layer; to weave this for a single layer fabric you would need to add tabby picks between each weft pick; the tabby picks would alternate shafts 1-3 and 2-4.

The TempoWeave draft is attached below. It has sections marked to make it easy to change the repeats to alter the width and length if you want to weave a project with this technique and draft.
