# Copying and Paste for Groups

The screenshot above shows a selected group in the **Assembly Tree** (indicated by the leftmost red arrow). The check mark next to the arrow confirms that this group is currently selected.

At the top, the red arrow points to the **Copy Selection** button. Clicking this button places the selected group into the **Copy Buffer**.

To paste the group:

1. Select the position in the **Assembly Tree** where you want to paste. This will become the **Parent Group** for the pasted content.
2. Click the **Paste** button (located next to the Copy button) to complete the paste.

If needed, adjust the **Order Number** to reorder the group within the tree.
