Your Account & What Unlocks (Mobile)

TempoWeave Mobile is a free download, and most of it works without any account. This page explains what signing in adds, and which features belong to which license tier.

Free draft viewing — no account needed

Install the app and you can immediately:

• Open and view .twa / .wif drafts — including the four built-in samples

• Browse, search, and open the public cloud pattern library

• Use every drawing and design tool — draw, recolor, transform, undo

• Explore the Yarn Catalog, Common Weaves, Float Check, Fabric view, and 3D interlacement

• Use the Weave Assistant and Thread Assistant, including with a TempoTreadle

In short: you can try the whole design experience. What you can't do without a license is keep the results — saving, exporting, and cloud upload are licensed features.

Important: If you already own TempoWeave Studio (any version) you DO NOT NEED TO PURCHASE a mobile license. The IOS App Store does offer you the ability to buy TempoWeave Mobile license. However, it's a better deal if you buy a desktop version (even the Lite version) because that way you will have access to both Desktop and Mobile Apps. We offer you an In-App purchase in the Apple App Store becuase it was a requirement from Apple. The Android store does not have an In-App purchase, you simply use your Desktop license.

Signing in

☰ → Sign In…, then enter the email address on your TempoWeave account. A verification code arrives by email; if email is being slow, tap the option to enter your Subscription ID directly instead (it's on your purchase receipt).

One license covers desktop and mobile — sign in on your iPad, phone, and computers with the same account, and every device unlocks to your tier.

Common questions

Where do I get a license? Licenses for TempoWeave Studio are available at tempoweave.com. There is nothing to buy inside the mobile app.

I signed in but features are still locked. Check ☰ → Sign In… — it shows the account and tier the app thinks you have. If the tier looks wrong, sign out and back in; if it's still wrong, email [e-mail] with your Subscription ID.

Does TempoTreadle 3 need a license? Technically no — pairing a TempoTreadle 3 and weaving with the Weave Assistant works for every user. Realistically, however, you need at least the Lite tier of TempoWeave Studio if you want to save your progress - which is crucial. TempoTreadle 3, will include a license for TempoWeave Studio Lite. If you already own TempoWeave, you will get a discount on your TempoTreadle purchase.

I'm a Demo user — will I lose my work? The app won't stop you from designing, but without Save your work ends with the session. If you've made something you love, a Lite license keeps it. Keep in mind that the Lite and Core version of TempoWeave never expire. TempoWeave Core is sold with a 1-year Free subscription to Pro features. TempoWeave Lite is also very easy to upgrade to Core!
