# Amazon Fire Installation

If your Amazon fire allows you to install through the Goole Play Store app, then you should do that.  If not, the following instructions will work on *some* Amazon Fire devices.

To load the TempoWeave Mobile app onto your [Amazon Fire tablet](https://www.google.com/search?kgmid=FAILED_OR_SKIPPED), you will need to sideload it or use the Google Play Store. Because TempoWeave is not natively hosted on the Amazon Appstore, its standard Android application package (APK file) must be manually installed.&#x20;

Follow these steps to get the app running on your device:

**Step 1: Allow Apps from Unknown Sources**

By default, Fire tablets block apps downloaded outside of Amazon's ecosystem. You need to grant the Silk browser permission to install them:<br>

1. Open the Settings app on your Fire tablet.
2. Select Security & Privacy (or *Security* on older models).
3. Tap Apps from Unknown Sources.
4. Select Silk Browser from the list and switch the toggle to Allow from this source.<br>

**Step 2: Download and Install the TempoWeave APK**<br>

1. Open the Silk Browser on your tablet.
2. Navigate to <https://loftyfiberblob.blob.core.windows.net/twdownload/amazonfire.apk>
3. Tap Download APK. If a warning pop-up appears stating that the file could harm your device, tap Download Anyway (Keep) and then OK.
4. Once the download completes, tap Open from the notification at the bottom of the screen (or click the Silk Browser menu (…) and click downloads and then click on the amazonfire.apk file.
5. Select Install.<br>

**Step 3: Log In to Your TempoWeave Account**

Once installed, open the app from your home screen. TempoWeave Mobile is free to download. If you already own a license for TempoWeave Studio on your desktop, you do not need to purchase a mobile license—simply log in with your existing account credentials to unlock your features and cloud library.
