# Planning Yarn Requirements

### Step 7 - Planning Warp Length

1. Go back into the Planning Screen (Menu Project, Project Info, then the Planning Tab.  Enter a number in to the Pieces field on Length Drivers (lower middle of the screen) to represent the number of Towels that are to be woven.  In this example, enter 3.
2. Add Warp and Weft Take-up of 8%.  This is simply a rough estimate of the additional length required taking into account the threads interlacement.
3. Enter loom waste of 26-inches.
4. Look in the Warp Length group on the left and see that TempoWeave has calculated a Min Warp Length of 3.27 yards. 
5. If you click Calculate Yarn, you'll notice that Weft is calculated but not Warp.  You *must* enter the warp length you plan to use, then click Calculate Yarn in order for warp yardage to be calculated.  In this case, I'm going to enter 4 in the Planned field as I may want to have extra for sampling. 
6. Click the Yarn Usage tab to see a breakdown of yards and ounces by color.
