# Step 2 - Create the 8-Treadle Draft

In this step, the tie-up and treadling will be produced that will complete the draft for the double patterned overshot.

If weaving this on a 4-shaft loom with 6-treadles, the method on the next page will genearte a 6-treadle version that produces the exact same cloth, but does require pressing two treadles every other pick.

There is an extra step involved in creating the 6-treadle version, so if preparing to weave on a table loom, use this 8-Treadle version then convert to a lift plan.

Steps in the video above:

* Open Star-Step1.wif twice so that the same draft appears in two tabs.
* Open Design | Weft Advanced | Combine Weft.
 * Verify that Star-Step1.wif is in the Source Document, Change Shaft Shift to 4, uncheck Wrap. Apply
* Change tie-up on Treadle 5 to Shafts 1, 2, 4.
* Change tie-up on Treadle 6 to Shafts 1,2,3
* Change tie-up on Treadle 7 to Shafts 2,3,4
* Change tie-up on Treadle 8 to Shafts 1, 3, 4
* Change colors in warp and weft to alternate Blue and White.

Click View, once it comes up, click the Double Weave on the left. Validate that both sides look as expected.

This is now a complete 4-shaft, 8-treadle Double Overshot Patterned Draft.
