# Step 2 alternate - Create a 6-Treadle Draft

This lesson covers using the prepared threading from step 1, and produces a tie-up and treadling sequence that will produce the same cloth on a 4-shaft 6-treadle loom.

Steps in the video above:&#x20;

* Open Star-Step1.wif.
* Create a draft with 4-shafts and 2-treadles.  Enter a tie-up of 2 and 4 on treadle 1, and 1 and 3 on treadle 2.  This can be left unsaved (named untitled).
* Click into Star-Step1.wif for the next step.
* Open Design | Weft Advanced | Combine Weft. &#x20;
  * Verify that untitled "stub" is in the Source Document, Type Overlay, Shift Right = 4, Wrap Off, Repeat through End checked,Interleave Color off.
  * Apply
* Tie Treadle 5 to shafts 2 and 4; Tie Treadle 6 to shafts 1 and 3.
* Close the "stub" document.
* Open the original overshot draft (Star-OvershotOriginal.wif) in order to interleave the treading from that with the current version of Star-Step1 that has the treadling for the bottom layer.
* Select Star-Step1.wif.
* Open Design | Weft Advanced | Combine Weft.
  * Verify that the Source Document has "Star-OvershotOriginal.wif".
  * Combine type Interleave, no Shift, no Wrap, Repeat through End, no Interleave Color.
  * Apply
* Color Blue and White with Color Repeats on Warp and Weft.
* Click View, once it comes up, click the Double Weave on the left. Validate that both sides look as expected.
