# Double Star Placemat Instructions and WIF files

Using TempoWeave and this technique, these placemats were woven.

We use 8/2 Lofty Cotton and sett the warp at 32 ends per inch (16 epi per layer). We used an 8-dent reed with 4 threads in each dent. We found this very easy to thread and sley, especially since each group of four threads uses one heddle on each shaft (1, 2, 3 or 4). The sequence of threading these for shafts varies with the pattern.

The width in the reed is 14.38 inches.

The finished size of these placemats is 12 1/2" by 16.5", after machine washing and drying in a hot dryer.

The pattern PDF and weaving drafts are attached below. Note there is a separate draft for the Hems and the body of the placemats, This is to make it easier to adjust the length by looking at the hems separately.
