Tablets Tested with TempoTreadle 3

Here is a short list of devices that we think work well with TempoWeave mobile and TempoTreadle, split by size. That said, any current device clears the app's minimums (iOS 15, Android 6), so the only real question is screen size: drafts and the Weave Assistant treadle card are happiest on 11 inches and up. Prices are Wi-Fi base models, as shown on the official store pages on September 19 2026; sale prices move weekly.

Of course, you can also use an iPhone or Android phone - but screensize is limited.

Large (13 inch and up), best for design work at the desk or loom

• iPad Air 13-inch, M4. Starts at $799. Apple. The sweet spot for most weavers; the 13-inch iPad Pro (M5) is the same screen size at a much higher price for no gain in TempoWeave. Apple iPad Pro

• Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+, 13.1 inch. $699.99, on sale at $569.99. Samsung. The best value big Android tablet.

• Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, 14.6 inch. $1,199.99. Samsung. Only for someone who wants the biggest screen made.

Medium (11 inch), the all-round pick

• iPad Air 11-inch, M4. Starts at $599. Apple

• iPad (A16), 11 inch. $449. Apple. The budget iPad; fine for TempoWeave.

• Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE, 10.9 inch. $549.99, on sale at $419.99. Samsung

• Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+, 11 inch. $299.99, on sale at $249.99. Samsung. This is the tablet you test on, so it is a safe budget recommendation. This is one we use for training at LoftyFiber

Small (under 9 inch), for the bench and travel

• iPad mini (A17 Pro), 8.3 inch. Apple. Check the page for the current price; it changed this summer.

• Galaxy Tab A11 (SM-x133) - We listed this again because it's fits between this category and the previous. This is one we use for training at LoftyFiber

Phones, if someone asks

• iPhone 17 Pro Max, 6.9 inch. $1,199. Apple

• Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, 6.8 inch. $1,199. Google Store
