Weave hands-free with a TempoTreadle 3 (TT3) System Unit— the device monitors the loom and advances the on-screen pattern as you treadle.

What TempoTreadle 3 is. TempoTreadle 3 replaces the System Unit (the "brain") of TempoTreadle. The loom hardware — the sensor array, magnets, and array brackets — is exactly the same as TempoTreadle 2. The new part is a small box that attaches to the sensor array and communicates over Wi-Fi with your personal device: a phone, tablet, or computer.

How you'll use it. The TempoWeave app becomes your interface for threading and treadling. On a phone or tablet (Android or iOS), that's TempoWeave Mobile; on a desktop, it's the full TempoWeave Studio.

Why it's worth waiting for:

• No more micro-SD card. Your weave design files transfer via the cloud instead of being carried back and forth on a card.

• More features, because it's app-based — for example, you can choose a marked section of your draft to weave. And because it's software, new features can keep arriving over time.

Pricing. TempoTreadle 3 will be priced essentially the same as TempoTreadle 2 — and if you already have a TempoWeave license, you'll receive a discount.

Timing. We're in the final stage of beta testing and expect to move to production very soon. TempoWeave Mobile is already available in the Google Play Store, and the Apple App Store version is right behind it.
