# Thickness Orange Dots - How to remove

If you never want to see orange dots above the warp and to the right of weft to indicate threads of a different thickness, you can turn this off in Settings.  This is a global setting for your TempoWeave environment.&#x20;

If you want to leave your global Setting to have "Show Thickness" enabled,  the following techniques can used to suppress the "dots" on a single project.

**Reset the Yarn Thickness for all Threads**

&#x20;If this is not desired, update the default thickness on the project (thickness 4 is the default) and click Reset Yarn Thickness.  This will reset the thickness of all warp and weft threads.

When using yarns of different thickness, the cloth view functions use this thickness to show a more accurate view of the cloth.  Thickness can be manualy set on an individual thread, using thickness repeats, or by using the thickness as copied into the palette from the yarn catalog.

**Correct the Palette to have the Correct Thickness**

The Yarn Catalog has thickness as a property of each yarn.  You may be using the same color yarn that has different thicknesses depending on where it is used in the draft.   To correctly reflect this:

* Clear the palette (removes any unused entries)
* Select the appropriate entry from the Yarn Catalog and copy to Palette (right click or from menu). *You can select the entire yarn entry, or an individual color.*
* Repeat until all yarns are in the palette.&#x20;
* Do a swap for any yarns that need to change to the correct color and thickness.  For example, from a Generic "blue" to an 8/2 Blue.

Now the thickness dots will show correctly for the yarns that are different from the default thickness.  This way, the weaver decides what the default will be (typically the one used most frequently) and only see the dots for the different thicknesses.
