# Warp and Weft Winding Plan

### What It Does

These are generated reports that summarized the counts of warp and weft colors.

***

### How to Use It

1. Simply click the Warp Winding Plan or Weft Color Plan icon on the Project Menu.
2. View the report on screen, print or save as a PDF.

### Tips for Use in Designing

When checking your draft for symmetry, these reports are very useful.

\
For example, if you expect colors to be applied symmetrically across the threading, the color counts should be mirrored. If **Yellow**, for instance, is normally 20 threads, but one section has 19 threads, it will be very obvious on the Warp Plan but could easily be missed when reviewing the draft itself.

Likewise, in the treadling, the color counts can be inspected for expected values and symmetry.

If a similar but different color has been selected from the palette, it will also appear on these printouts.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.tempoweave.com/help-by-menu-tabs/project-menu/warp-and-weft-winding-plan.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
